Single-End Based Fault Location Method for VSC-HVDC Transmission Systems

چکیده

A single-end based fault location method is proposed for VSC (Voltage Sourced Converter) HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) transmission systems. With the method, there no need communication system to collect data from different locations and checking synchronization avoided. The derived relationship between aerial ground voltage components along DC system. Bergeron model equations are used calculating 1-mode 0-mode voltages using measured signals at a single end. generalized locating both pole-to-ground pole-to-pole faults. profile of differences studied with considering effect resistance. Artificial neural network (ANN) trained on collected samples test cases. can successfully locate determine resistance even uncertain line parameters. theoretically validated by help PSCAD simulation platform.
